Current Status

May 6, 2010 - Phase 2 of the Stadium Renovation Project begins with the demolition and removal of the old press box (snack shack and home bleachers). Completion of Phase 2 is expected by late September 2010 and includes new home bleachers, ADA acessible bathrooms, press box, concession stand and the Steve Larsen Memorial Bike Plaza.

HOMECOMING 2009 Blue Devil Pride returns to Halden Field
Former Blue Devil Players (Bob Blair '89, Larry Wold '89, Alex Lindert '89 and Mason Harry '08) return to Davis High on October 23 to reclaim the newly renovated field in the name of Dewey Halden. Capacity crowds celebrated the re-opening of Halden Field with the new all-weather field, new lights and scoreboard. The new track will be completed in November. The DHS Blue and White Foundation continues to fundraise for Phase 2 of the project (Bleachers, Bathroom and Concession Building). To avoid a scale back in plans, pledges and donations need to be received by December 1. Last home football game is November 6. Come show your Blue Devil Pride!

June 8, 2009 Hundreds gather as Board of Education, students, and community leaders formally break ground on new track and field.

April 19, 2009 Lynne Yackzan, Founding President of BWF, formally launches the Back on Track fundraising campaign.

April 16, 2009 the Board of Education approves Brown Construction, Inc. as the project contractor, and formally affirms the Blue and White Foundation’s Fundraising plan.

April 2nd, 2009 the Board of Education approves documents to finance phase I construction... Stay Tuned.
